Elizabeth is the ward and fiancée of Victor Frankenstein. She is an innocent character and does not know what or who the Monster is. Elizabeth is cruelly murdered on her wedding night by the Monster who resents everything she represents.

This Candlelit version of Frankenstein was set in 1816/17 when Mary Shelly wrote the first draft one stormy night. The story is told by Mary and includes scenes with Mary, Percy, Byron and Polidori who all compete in the challenge to write the most terrifying horror story.

Artwork was created using marbling inks both oil and water based and collaged with images sourced from early nineteenth century fashion plates, finished with pen and ink.

The artwork measures approximately 32cm by 28cm, framed measurement being 46cm by 42cm.
